The Estate Makati: Architectural gem that speaks of luxury, prestige

It exemplifies brilliance in design and mastery of a true luxury lifestyle.

The Estate Makati, rising in one of the most exclusive locations in Makati City, stands distinct with its exceptional design, state-of-the-art amenities, and future-ready features.

As the newest crown jewel to soon grace the Makati skyline, this up-and-coming vertical community along Ayala Avenue presents the ultimate lifestyle statement befitting the Philippines’ affluent few.

A pioneer and an  architectural marvel

As it is, The Estate Makati already touts several distinctions.

For one, it is jointly built by powerhouse developers SM Development Corporation and Federal Land Inc. who are eyeing to create the Philippines’ most beautiful and innovative skyscraper. It also stands on the last and most premium available lot between Ayala Avenue and Apartment Ridge, in Makati’s most prestigious neighborhood.

Most notably though, this ultra-luxury residential development is designed by the world-renowned Foster + Partners (F+P), the architect behind some of the world’s most famed structures including the World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi, Reichstag Building in Berlin, HSBC Headquarters in Hong Kong, Hearst Tower in New York, and the Apple Headquarters, among others. For its very first project in the Philippines, the global firm is looking to “combine the life and bustle and the quiet calm of urban and suburban living to create an unparalleled residential experience”.

“The Estate Makati embodies a unique approach to residential living, creating expansive flexible homes in the sky that combine lush landscaping with panoramic views of the city,” said Luke Fox, head of studio at Foster + Partners.

Elegance, privacy and innovation

With The Estate Makati,  Foster + Partners combines cutting edge techniques, local environment, culture, and  future-ready technologies to create a truly timeless structure.

And it’s already apparent as soon as you reach the driveway and drop-off area, which is raised one storey above street level, hidden from public view by lush trees and manicured landscaping to ensure utmost exclusivity and privacy. The arrival lounge, with its bronze, marble, and stone interior finishes, meanwhile blends with the lush greenery outside, creating a finely tailored interior worthy of its well-heeled residents.

According to Fox, sustainability is woven ingeniously through the design, evident in its high-performance facade, which features deep horizontal fins that provide shade and allow for natural ventilation. Parking bays will have electric vehicle charging power provisions while a facility will be installed to recycle rainwater to irrigate the lush greenery of the site. All these are essential toward achieving a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold rating, Fox added.

Integrity, longevity

To ensure both structural integrity and longevity, The Estate Makati’s foundation is anchored by a five-meter-thick mat, with all slabs and beams reinforced by post-tensioned girders.

This solid base supports the building’s innovative double slab technology, which efficiently conceals wiring, plumbing, and electrical systems. This design not only provides excellent noise insulation between floors but also offers the flexibility to reconfigure spaces as needed, catering to the dynamic lifestyles of its residents.

Another standout feature of The Estate Makati would be its angular windows, where each window is angled and oriented to fully optimize floor space and offer vantage views unique to every unit.

This is complemented with double-glazed windows that ensure optimal cooling and acoustic insulation, creating a serene and comfortable living environment. The architectural design further incorporates versatile spaces for various uses such as coffee nooks, daybeds, and desk areas, making each residence as functional as it is elegant.

At the same time, the building, aside from the basement floors, is entirely column-free due to its unique core and cantilever beam design, according to Fox. This means that each apartment is completely customizable.

Homebuyers and investors are thus guaranteed flexibility to reconfigure their spaces depending on their needs. The tower has 188 units in total, which mostly come in two-bedroom, and three-bedroom, with sizes ranging from approximately 150 sqm to 250 sqm.

Creating a new hallmark of luxury, the developers integrated 300 sqm and 355 sqm three-bedroom bi-level suites that epitomize opulence and spacious living. These expansive residences ensure ample space for entertainment and relaxation with thoughtfully designed areas for living, dining, and private quarters.

Mastery in elevating lifestyles

Beyond its architectural brilliance, The Estate Makati showcases a mastery in elevating lifestyles, made evident by its curated mix of amenities and concierge services.

Classic amenities such as the pools, and fitness center are complemented by curated sections like the wine lounge and sky garden that embrace 180 to 270 degree views of the city skyline.

Additional facilities include a golf simulator, library, play area, and wellness rooms. The multi-purpose rooms, lounge areas, and the pool deck meanwhile provide conducive spaces for social activities and productivity with flexible setups.

Further elevating luxury living to new heights, The Estate Makati offers bespoke resident services similar to the attention and expertise in luxury hotels and exclusive clubs. A dedicated concierge can assist and lend a helping hand in coordination and booking—from travel arrangements to party planning, and dining reservations, among others. Housekeeping and secretarial services are also offered to residents.

Ultimate symbol of prestige

The Estate Makati indeed stands distinct, with many eagerly anticipating the brilliance and mastery it will bring to the city skyline.

With its innovative architecture, sophisticated design, and top-tier features, The Estate Makati will no doubt become a symbol of prestige and success in the heart of Makati City.
